Dreaming Of Sundance

15 Jan 2013

{Past favourites}

(500) Days Of Summer - Because it's not always the guy that's a d**k

 Liberal Arts - Because growing up is hard sometimes

 Garden State - Because it's OK to be a wierdo

Like Crazy - Because real relationships aren't perfect

Martha Marcy May Marlene - Because no matter how hard life gets, at least you're not part of a scary cult
 (warning: this film is disturbing)

Happythankyoumoreplease - Because it's OK to be happy

Dysenchanted - Because short films are really good too

My life has been taken over by good TV, warm animals and hot meals. This is a good thing. I'm a homebody at heart and nothing pleases me more than an excuse to stay indoors in my pyjamas without any make up on. Being indoors also gives me plenty of time for internetting - and so I've been doing a lot of frantic googling around this years Sundance festival. I'm really excited for it to come back to London (I hope 'jOBS' and 'Breathe In' cross the border) and I have my sly little eyes on weekend tickets this year.We caught a film there last year and I loooooved it. The best part of it was when Josh Radnor turned up to do a Q&A at the end of the screening.. although it took all that we had not to ask the most obvious question of all - 'haaaaaave youmetTed???'

  4. You didn't ask him "Haaaaaaaveeee youmetTed"? That just seems like such a wasted opportunity. But if you do go to the Sundance, have fun!

  7. I've been meaning to watch Liberal Arts for an absolute age, this has definitely been a bit of a reminder for me. Hopefully it's not too cheap on dvd somewhere. I've also heard Zac Efron (my future husband, ahem...) has a brief but rather marvellous role in it? Correct me if I'm wrong but that definitely makes me need to see it more. Oh and Elizabeth Olsen is fab too.

  9. I've seen most of the films you mentioned above. My first job out of school was working in a video store. I LOVED it! I'm a huge movie fan! Particularly the ones that are considered independent in style. I've been dying to go to the Sundance Film Festival in Park City Utah. It helps that one of my best friends now lives only an hour or so from there. It will be a lived dream one day! Maybe next year...since I missed my opportunity this time around. Again.

    You've made me want to watch a movie now!
