Yesterday we got into the Christmas spirit by doing some shopping. This isn't by any means the first stuff I've bought for this years gifts, but it was the first time I bought for more than one person at once. It got a bit tiring, and this conversation I think shows just how confused I get when I'm trying to shop whilst tired..
Luke: What are you getting for your Mum?
Me: Oh, I'm going to make her a personalised hamster.
Luke: A what??
Me: A hamper. A personalised hamper.
Yes, that really happened. And yes, in case you were wondering, this
was followed by hysterical laughter from me, and a look of concern from Luke.
Merry Christmas!
I'm making a few hampers this year too :) xxx
ReplyDeleteOh this made me giggle! After a day of full on shopping yesterday, then getting home and telling Mr B.P. that I am NEVER doing the Christmas shopping on my own again (I say this every year!), your post just made me smile. I am going to have mental pictures of personalised hamsters all day now!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I am guilty of doing this too.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite ever was when my boyfriend picked me up from work one time and I complained to him: " Do you want to go for lunch somewhere? I'm so hungry!! All I've had to eat today was a baby"
I meant bagel but I worked in a kids clothes department at the time lol xxx
Hahahahahahahahaha, I love this.
ReplyDeletePretty much sums up the stress of Christmas shopping doesn't it? Shopping online for me this year me thinks! x
i love xmas
ReplyDeleteyou should buy luke a toy hamster called luke. It would be a funny gift :)
ReplyDeleteLol....you could spraypaint her initials on a hamster, too.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I love it! And it makes me wonder just what a personalised hamster would look like and how one would go about achieving it.

Hahahaha that's what the holidays do to us! Since I'm away at school with no car (not so fun perks of being a sophomore), I have to do a lot of my shopping online. This ends up taking hours longer than I expect, but I'm excited that I actually have most of my shopping done! Now the rest is just knitted things that I have to furiously work on to get done before Christmas!! Good luck on the rest of your presents!!

I would love a peresonalised hamster but I'm not sure of any method to get one that doesn't involve copious amounts of inbreeding. Thankfully I've done most of my Christmas shopping online so things aren't getting too confusing for me.
ReplyDeleteHahaha the stress of Christmas shopping does that to us! Sounds like a great idea though :)

Haha this made me laugh :). I do wonder what a personalised hamster would be like. Mine would be very tame and up during the day instead of being nocturnal! Have you gotten most of your Christmas shopping done now then? I've bought most of my stuff, it's the first time I've been this organised! xx
ReplyDeleteA personalized hamster, huh? Okay. I like tan and white, female, doesn't bite, and doesn't pee and poop all over the house while in the hamster ball. Oh and can navigate the hamster ball without hitting the same kitchen cupboard over and over. lol
