I Wish I Was Here..

19 Nov 2012

Preferably with a huge cup of tea, a really good book (can anyone recommend one? I'm struggling to find one I love right now), a roaring fire and Luke sitting quietly nearby without his shirt on.

Ah, bliss.

On an unrelated note, is anyone else dying to see this movie?

  4. This looks delightful! I would love a place like that to relax on weekends.
I don't know what kind of books you like, but 'Birdsong' is an amazing book, or 'Jane Eyre'- which I love to read in the Winter curled up inside, in defiance of the cold X

  9. I absolutely love Room and Dirt Music - they have been real high points on reading lately. Tove Jansson's Winter Book is a bit more seasonal and also very good.

And YES! I am dying to see that film. I love her.

  11. Aaah! I had no idea they were making a film of that book! Can't wait to see it:) I really enjoyed the novel, and though I think the film has a very different vibe, it still seems to fit.

    Also, great house indeed!

As for books... I'm currently reading White Teeh by Zadie Smith. Can't say I'm very far, but I love it already. And I just finished the Story of Beautiful Girl, which I really enjoyed;)

  15. I am in love with Jennifer Lawrence, massive girl crush and that cabin(?!) looks LUSH! Although I did an American Studies degree, I read To Kill A Mockingbird for the first time recently, and absolutely loved it, if in doubt always look to the classics, that's my motto! x

  16. Wherever that place is, it looks amazing and so cozy... a perfect hideaway for a rainy day! And as far as books go, I'm searching for a new one too, but one quick and easy read that I've found hilarious so far is Mindy Kaling's "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?" :)

The movie looks kind of good, I've been seeing previews of it. As for books... if you like memoirs, The Glass Castle was a very good (kind of sad) read. xx

As for recommendations, my favourite 'recent' books (not all that recent, but still) are The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society, American Wife and The Lost Art of Keeping Secrets.
