Today I...

♥ Got ready watching vlogs by Zoella

♥ Walked into town with Luke and discussed the downward spiral our love for Maroon 5 has taken. 'Songs About Jane' was one of the first things we bonded over when we were 16 in a conversation that went like this:
Me - I like Maroon 5, Songs About Jane is my favourite album.
Luke - No it's not
Me - Yes, it is
Luke - But that's my favourite album
Me - It's mine too
Luke - ... No.

We agreed that although Moves Like Jagger and Misery were decent songs they had nothing on our favourites. (His being Sunday Morning and Harder To Breathe, mine being Sweetest Goodbye, This Love and She Will Be Loved)

♥ Had pancakes and bacon drowned in syrup for breakfast, felt sick

♥ Got my favourite bag fixed at a cobbler for £7.50. It's the first time I've ever loved a bag enough to have it fixed instead of throwing it in the bin and I'm so happy that it's useable again (and bloody impressed by the price)

♥ Had a casual stroll to the pet shop for cat shampoo and came across a kitten for sale. I've never ever seen a kitten in a pet shop before and I completely fell in love with it. Unfortunately, the voice of reason said I wasn't allowed to buy him. Or the love birds I liked. Or the tiny black and white fish. Sometimes I wonder why we're even a couple, I really do

♥ Went out of my way to buy a Glade spiced apple candle (got it burning now) after seeing it mentioned on Cider With Rosie, and Mac Turquatic (which I'm wearing now) after seeing it mentioned on Zoella

♥ Did a deep clean of the house and gave the cats a bath, which has lead to some major sulkage from Colbie. Shockingly they were OK when we were doing it, although Charles had a bit of a freak out when we got him into the tub. *update: bathing the little ones isn't something we do often, it's actually only the second time we've bathed either of them, but when they keep coming home with creepy crawlies living in their fur times call for desperate measures

♥ Ordered a hire car for a day trip to York on Monday (so excited!)

♥ Ordered 'individual take away' because we can never agree on what to eat.

  1. Haha the candle thing is so fab! My Grandma recommended them to me for so long and I always turned my nose up at the packaging! Discovering how nice they are is one of the stupid insignificant things I so wish I could tell her now, you know?

Those pancakes look sublime! What takeaway did you go for? :) Individual takeaway is such a good idea! Lovely lovely post :)

  2. I don't know who I feel more sorry for, your or your cats. Poor critters. I wouldn't want to get my cats wet, they'd kill me.

I know what it's like to find more cats and be unable to get them too. And birds. I went in to a pet shop recently and they had birds, and they were there for a few weeks but I couldn't have them because of my cats :(

  3. She Will Be Loved is my favourite by Maroon 5, though I do like Payphone quite a bit.

And watching Zoella and other beauty gurus is always how I get ready! They're so good and her vlogs are hilarious, especially when she makes them with Sprinkle of Glitter/Louise.

  4. I realize how stupid this sounds but I seriously never thought cat owners bathed and shampooed their cats.. I always hear how much they hate water!!

I totally get the separate takeaway thing, we have separate dinners most nights because I've always made up my mind I want one thing and he wants another!

    1. No that's not stupid at all! Generally speaking we don't.. I bathed Colbie once when she was a kitten (around 2 years ago) because she had fleas and Charlie once around a year ago when he rolled in fox poo.. but usually cats clean themselves, they're very very clean animals. We had to do it yesterday though because they've picked up fleas from somewhere and I can't stand having fleas in my home or on my pets lol. They're squeaky clean now so it was worth their 5 minutes of trauma.. they both seem very content not to be scratching!

As for individual meals, it is the future!
